I'm so excited for another collaboration with my friend Alex Montaldo and the team at Room 15, with whom I did Golden Boy and Orphans. Misterman by Enda Walsh runs from October 10th through 20th. Tickets are available here. It's a meditative, poetic, strange one man show that grapples with one man's journey with his faith. I think it's going to be incredibly powerful and I can't wait to share it with audiences when we open in two weeks!

On Monday I had the pleasure of attending the New York Innovative Theater Awards with the cast of my show from last fall, Plan G! The cast was nominated for best ensemble and I couldn't be more thrilled. Out of all the shows presented in an off-off-Broadway season it truly was an honor to be nominated and be in the room with so many great theater makers!
I am so thrilled to be directing a workshop production of Kirt Shineman's Good Grief for Athena Theatre Company! It's an incredibly timely and relevant play about gun violence and the process of coping with loss. It's truly got everything I would want in a play, from deeply felt emotional scenes to high comedy between cartoon characters!
Following the death of her son, Charlie, while on a study abroad in Belgium, college professor Marie finds herself unable to cope. Returning to work, Marie tries to deal with her fears and reconnect with her husband, Joe, but she can’t face what happened to her son. With the help of her psychologist, Dr. Weber, Marie attempts to overcome her fears, so that they can fly to the trial of the terrorist who killed Charlie, in Brussels. Can she face her fears with the aftermath of such traumatic events? We run from Wednesday, September 11th through Sunday the 15th. Tickets are available here! It would be wonderful to see you there! Since MusACKal opened I've been back at White Heron serving as dramaturge for their production of Conor McPherson's The Weir. It's an amazing play by one of my favorite writers and it's been such a thrill to be a part of it.
I'm so so thrilled to be back for another round of MusACKal. It's been a long road with this one but we've got some serious upgrades from last year. After a week of previews we open tomorrow for a run through September 1st! Tickets are available here! If you're in Nantucket in the next two months, stop by and see us!
Next up I'm directing a reading of a new play by Holly Payne-Strange called Fake it. It's a dark comedy about a guy who fakes cancer, his passionate long distance relationship, and his crumbling family. It is about the way liberals communicate and the pressure to always be perfect. The reading is Sunday, May 12th at 1:30PM and is open to the public. FREE tickets are available here!
Thrilled to be back for another round with the Ridgewood Players in Queens directing a staged reading of Irving Dale's 1917 play Too Much Salt. It was so fun getting to work with a text from the early 20th century in the fall and I'm so glad to get another shot at exploring this kind of work. The show is on Saturday the 9th at 2:30 and is FREE! Directions and more information available here!
Next up I'll be directing a ten minute short as part of AlphaNYC's Nothing Serious called Bride and Gloom. It's a short comedy about two men on the verge of marriage weighing their options one last time. I've got some great actors and it's gonna be a ton of fun. It has two performances at 12:00 and 1:30pm on Saturday the 23rd. Click here for tix!
I've spent the past month back at White Heron as Assistant Director/ Dramaturge/ Sound Designer (cuz that's a normal title) on an exciting new version of the classic Dickens tale by Mark Shanahan! Tonight it comes back for the second weekend of its run and continues through December 8th. Tickets are available here
