I've had two recent episodes of Standby for Places that I directed that I'm really thrilled with. There's August Strandburg's Miss Julie and Leurana by my friend Enrique Huili (a reading of whose play Is This a Graveyard was my last in person performance pre-pandemic).
Check out Miss Julie here!
Here's a little more about Leurana, my first new play for Standby. In the aftermath of their children’s murders, Jean and Leurana struggle to navigate their life together. While Jean seeks to find redemption, Leurana resists his forgiveness. As their relationship crumbles, they are plagued by visions of their dead children and are forced to confront the ever-present question: Can they forgive one another?
