I'm so excited for another collaboration with my friend Alex Montaldo and the team at Room 15, with whom I did Golden Boy and Orphans. Misterman by Enda Walsh runs from October 10th through 20th. Tickets are available here. It's a meditative, poetic, strange one man show that grapples with one man's journey with his faith. I think it's going to be incredibly powerful and I can't wait to share it with audiences when we open in two weeks!

On Monday I had the pleasure of attending the New York Innovative Theater Awards with the cast of my show from last fall, Plan G! The cast was nominated for best ensemble and I couldn't be more thrilled. Out of all the shows presented in an off-off-Broadway season it truly was an honor to be nominated and be in the room with so many great theater makers!
I am so thrilled to be directing a workshop production of Kirt Shineman's Good Grief for Athena Theatre Company! It's an incredibly timely and relevant play about gun violence and the process of coping with loss. It's truly got everything I would want in a play, from deeply felt emotional scenes to high comedy between cartoon characters!
Following the death of her son, Charlie, while on a study abroad in Belgium, college professor Marie finds herself unable to cope. Returning to work, Marie tries to deal with her fears and reconnect with her husband, Joe, but she can’t face what happened to her son. With the help of her psychologist, Dr. Weber, Marie attempts to overcome her fears, so that they can fly to the trial of the terrorist who killed Charlie, in Brussels. Can she face her fears with the aftermath of such traumatic events? We run from Wednesday, September 11th through Sunday the 15th. Tickets are available here! It would be wonderful to see you there! |
