I'm so excited to be back with Theatre Breaking Through Barriers for another round of their Virtual Playmakers Intensive. This time, I directed a play by Shellen Lubin called Preamble, about two women trying to find common ground and get present. You can check it out below!

This week brought the debut of another great project with Kirt, Snapshots of Weegee, which debuted on zoom as part of the Dramatists Guild Southwest Footlight Series.

​​Weegee, the (in)famous black-and-white tabloid photographer, aka Arthur Fellig, graphically captured grisly deaths and gaudy news events in the ‘40’s and ‘50’s. His obsession to capture the next photo where calamity collides with curiosity, derails his personal life. Constantly chasing his dream, he fails to see Wilma Wilcox, the woman who loves him for fifty years. Eventually, Weegee becomes the next story of the failed American Dream.

I'm so excited to be back with another piece on Standby by my friend Kirt Shineman with a really stunning cast of actors! In 1824, after Lord Byron’s death, five of his closest friends gather to decide the fate of Lord Byron’s memoirs. They decide whether to publish the manuscript or not. Is it suitable for public consumption? If they publish the memoirs, lives might be ruined. What are the damning secrets his friends need to protect?
